IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT PERFORMANCES - LAST UPDATED 16 MARCH 2020

Following government advice, the Society of London Theatre and UK Theatre have advised us that theatres should close until further notice, and therefore to protect the health and wellbeing of our theatregoers, cast and crew, The Walt Disney Company has taken the decision to suspend all future performances of The Lion King in the UK with immediate effect until such time as this advice changes. This suspension includes the West End production of The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre and the UK Touring production which is currently in residence at The Edinburgh Playhouse until 18 April. Our other UK tour engagements in Bradford, Cardiff, Southampton and Manchester currently remain unchanged, but we will continue to review the situation based on the advice we receive from official bodies. We are working with the Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG), the owner of London’s Lyceum Theatre and the Edinburgh Playhouse, to issue refunds or exchanges for all suspended performances. This is an unprecedented situation and we will work with ATG and other ticketing companies to process refunds or exchanges as quickly as possible.

Relaxed Performances

Tickets are now on sale for the Relaxed Performance at the Wales Millennium Centre.

THE LION KING is committed to creating a friendly and inclusive audience experience. Having hosted a hugely successful Autism-Friendly Performance in its inaugural tour in 2013, along with five Autism-Friendly Performances in the Lyceum Theatre London, the landmark musical is delighted to be presenting a Relaxed Performance in the Wales Millennium Centre on Thursday 20 August at 1.30pm.

Relaxed performances are designed to provide an opportunity for those on the autism spectrum, learning difficulties or other sensory and communication needs who might prefer a more relaxed environment.

Any patrons who feel this performance might suit their specific needs, or the needs of their family members or companions, are warmly encouraged to attend.
