The performance lasts approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes including an interval.

THE LION KING is recommended for a general audience. We recommend THE LION KING for ages 6 and up. Children under the age of 3 will not be admitted into the theatre.

All persons aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own within the auditorium.

All persons entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket.

THE LION KING contains theatrical smoke and fog effects as well as strobe lighting during parts of the show.

A limited number of Disney Day Seats will be available for £20.

  • These seats will be available to purchase on the day of the performance.
  • Guests will need to create a Disney account to be able to log on to the Day Seats page.
  • Guests will be able to purchase a maximum of two tickets.
  • Tickets will go on sale at 10am and will be issued on a first come first served basis until the sale closes at 12pm.

We recommend logging in early for the best chance of securing tickets.

ACCESS INFORMATION

CAPTIONED PERFORMANCES

Captioning is a way of converting the spoken word into visible text that provides deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people with access to live performances.

The next captioned performance, presented in association with Stagetext, will take place on Sunday 12 September 2021 at 2.30pm.


SIGNED PERFORMANCES

Throughout the performance, a qualified theatre sign interpreter stands on the left of the stage and uses sign language to relay music and words to deaf and hearing impaired patrons, all of whom are seated within easy viewing distance of both the stage and interpreter.

The next signed (BSL) performance, presented in association with Theatre Sign, will take place on Sunday 22 August 2021 at 2.30pm.


AUDIO DESCRIBED PERFORMANCES

Audio description in theatre is a live verbal commentary on the visual elements of a production, delivered as a performance unfolds, through a discreet headset.

The next audio described performance, presented in association with VocalEyes, will take place on Sunday 19 September 2021 at 2.30pm.


RELAXED PERFORMANCES

Relaxed Performances are specially adapted to be accessible to a wide range of audiences such as those with autism, those with a learning disability or anyone with a sensory predisposition, with extra trained staff on hand and dedicated quiet areas inside the theatre should anyone need to leave their seat.

There are six wheelchair spaces available in the Stalls seating area.

The wheelchair accessible entrance is via a double exit door situated at the front of the theatre on Wellington Street. This is clearly marked and provides level access to the Accessible Toilets, the Stalls Bar and the Stalls seating area.

The theatre’s main entrance is up three steps to the lower foyer. From here there are 7 steps down to the Stalls and 12 steps up to the Royal Circle landing. The Grand Circle is up 83 steps.

There are lift facilities available to all levels of the Lyceum Theatre, located via the entrance on Exeter Street. All levels, apart from the Stalls, are laid out over a number of steps.

There are parking spaces for blue badge holders close to the theatre. The nearest car parks are located in Chinatown and Leicester Square and can be booked in advance by calling Qpark on 0800 243 348.

Guide Dogs are welcome in the auditorium or can alternatively be left in the care of theatre staff. If you intend to bring a guide dog, please let your sales advisor know at the time of booking.

The Lyceum Theatre has a limited number of large print and Braille programmes available. Please contact the Front of House Manager in advance on 020 7420 8100 (calls charged at local rate) to request a copy.

A copy of THE LION KING script is available in braille and an appointment can be made to read it in the theatre by calling 020 7420 8100 (calls charged at local rate) in advance.

The auditorium at The Lyceum Theatre is installed with the Mobile Connect system that will enhance the experience of visually impaired patrons or those who are hard of hearing. The Mobile Connect system provides an amplified performance for those who need it via your personal mobile phone or tablet.

To reach the theatre by bus, use numbers 1, 6, 9, 11, 13, 15, 23, 68, 77A, 91, 176 or 341 with Leicester Square as the destination. The closest bus interchange for all London routes and night buses is Trafalgar Square.
